GB 21900—2008 Electroplating Pollutant Emission Standard

To implement the “Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Water Pollution Prevention Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Air Pollution Prevention Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Marine Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China” Law”, “State Affairs Anhui Decision on Implementing the Scientific Outlook on Development and Strengthening Environmental Protection” and other laws and regulations, and the “Opinions of the State Council on Compiling the National Major Function Zone Planning” to protect the environment, prevent pollution, and promote electroplating production processes and pollution control technologies. Make progress and develop this standard.

This standard specifies the discharge limits, monitoring and monitoring requirements of water and air pollutants for electroplating enterprises. In order to promote the coordinated development of regional economy and environment, promote the adjustment of economic structure and the transformation of economic growth mode, and guide the development direction of industrial production technology and pollution control technology, this standard specifies special discharge limits for water pollutants.

The pollutant emission concentration in this standard is mass concentration.

The discharge of odorous pollutants and environmental noise by electroplating enterprises shall be subject to the corresponding national pollutant discharge standards, and the identification, treatment and disposal of solid waste generated shall be subject to the national solid waste pollution control standards.

This standard is issued for the first time.

From the date of implementation of this standard, the discharge control of water and air pollutants from electroplating enterprises shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of this standard, and the “Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard” (GB 8978-1996) and the “Comprehensive Discharge Standard of Air Pollutants” will no longer be implemented. 》(GB 16297-1996).

This standard was formulated by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

This standard was approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection on April 29, 2008.

This standard will be implemented on August 1, 2008.
