The reason why the plating layer around the plating part is extremely thin

The plating around the plating parts is not easy to deposit. The reason may be that the hanger has over-corroded during deplating. The hanger has severe hydrogen evolution during electroplating, and the hydrogen overpotential is too low. Thereby affecting the normal deposition of the coating. For this reason, this point should be fully considered when removing the coating on the hanger. For example, when the hanger is not used in a hurry, it can be removed with a weak acid deplating solution.

Excessive corrosion of the hanger will not only cause the above-mentioned quality problems, but also increase the brittleness due to hydrogen seepage and be easy to be broken, or increase the accumulation of plating liquid in the gaps between the welds and riveting parts, and thus While polluting various solutions in the next process, and because of the loose structure, it can not be used normally.

The above phenomenon mostly occurs on nickel plating hangers. The over-thick nickel layer on the nickel-plated rack is removed with nitric acid, which is likely to cause over-corrosion to the substrate of the rack.

Actually, the over-thick nickel layer on the nickel-plated hanger is not very firmly bonded to the base of the hanger. It can be removed by tapping, and then it can be peeled off with wire cutters.
